The military staff responsible for conducting practical teaching operations were amazed by the skill of the Ukrainian soldiers during the exercise and particularly by the speed at which they achieved the highest mastery ratings, mentioned the Ukrainian website Dialog.ua.

The students who are learning to drive, maintain, repair and fight using modern tanks are being trained at NATO bases outside Ukraine. The first groups are already demonstrating the highest skills and broke the existing performance record.

NATO instructors from the United Kingdom, Norway and other countries, who work with Ukrainian soldiers, routinely analyze the overall efficiency of the military learning process. This is why it is possible to compare the results by exact numerical indicators. One example of the highest-rated evaluation was given by war analyst Yurijs Švecs.

According to him, one group of soldiers who learned how to operate Western tanks was sent to Ukraine last week. After just five weeks of training exercises, Ukrainian soldiers hit 93% of their targets after passing the final exams where they fired in simulated combat conditions for the first time.

“The three NATO instructors were amazed when they saw it. They usually say they have aces, tank drivers, who have been gathering experience for years, and they have a top target hit rate of 90%. Ukrainians arrived, and trained for five weeks, and their result is already at 93%. They say it’s incredible,” Švec said.

The expert also noted that the training was given to soldiers who had already fought on similar but older machines, as members of tank crews. Their ages ranged from about 40 to 45 years old, the oldest of them being 56 years old. After graduation, they were replaced by a new group of tank operators aged between 30 and 35 years, where the youngest is just over 20 years old.

“These are seriously trained people who can and must deliver a crushing blow to Russia,” Shvec emphasized.
