How Broadley Studio Uses TriCaster 2 Elite to Power World-Class Productions | By The Digital Insider
Broadley Studio, located in Northwest London, is a top-tier video production facility known for its live, virtual, and hybrid content. With clients like Netflix, LEGO, Pfizer, and the Royal Air Force, Broadley produces everything from high-profile corporate events to global entertainment programming. As stated in this article by Vizrt, the demand for professional live streaming surged, and Broadley knew it needed a more powerful video production solution.
Founder Richard Landy explains, “We saw a dramatic increase in the number and complexity of productions. Clients expected flawless streams, even when contributors were joining remotely from around the world.” While the studio had success using a TriCaster Mini, they quickly outgrew its capabilities. That’s when they upgraded to the TriCaster 2 Elite, a system designed for professional, scalable live video production.
The TriCaster 2 Elite gave Broadley everything they needed in one integrated platform. With support for up to 40 inputs, native NDI connectivity, advanced audio tools, and direct-to-stream capabilities, it allowed the team to manage complex productions without breaking a sweat. “It’s robust, versatile, and puts on all the right hats,” says Landy. “Whether it's for a live podcast, corporate webcast, or entertainment program, it just works.”
The system was put to the test during an 8-hour live stream for the UK’s Royal Air Force featuring multiple live panels and pre-recorded segments. Broadley also used it to produce “Too Hot to Handle: Extra Hot” for Netflix, a global reunion show with remote contributors from the UK, US, and Australia. The TriCaster made it possible to coordinate feeds, manage switching, and deliver a polished broadcast with ease.
From fashion commercials for Dior involving transatlantic crews to sports content for WAVE.tv and internal streams for Fujitsu, Broadley has relied on the TriCaster 2 Elite to deliver broadcast-level video every time.
As Landy puts it, “Live streaming is here to stay. It’s more efficient and sustainable, and the TriCaster makes it all possible. We couldn’t do what we do without it.”
